I have often referred to this boutique to various people that have asked as the ‘pet project’ I am working on while I get used to the Nigerian corporate environment.
The truth of the matter is that ‘leila fowler’ is an idea that was born since I was a little girl playing with glamorous Barbie dolls and watching the beautiful women in my family go about their daily routines.
My dream for this store is a tall one. I did not want to open yet another clothing boutique in Lagos but a store that would one day be synonymous with Lagos as Saks fifth Avenue is to New York and Neiman Marcus is to Texas.
I wanted a boutique which reflected the effort and thought that had been put into it and also made each client feel special each time they walked through the door. It was very important for me to have an eclectic mix of designers that represent various styles and trends from places both near and far not forgetting to showcase work from very talented homegrown designers.
I have heard it said that sometimes that special outfit adds a little something extra to our special moments and occasions, hopefully many of these special moments and occasions will be shared in beautiful pieces found in the store.
It is my hope that my clients enjoy shopping at ‘Leila Fowler’. If they do so even half as much as I have enjoyed putting it together then I am more than satisfied.
